Dream World

on the second day of Gold Coast, we went to a theme park called Dream World.

there, i could make one of my dreams coming true.

i finally took a picture cuddling a koala.

if i don't take a picture with a koala, i coundn't say that i came to australia so i was very happy.

after making my dream come true, we walked around to go on rides.

on the park, there was a part where we could see and touch animals.

it was like a very small zoo.

there, i saw baby chicks(not girls, actual birds) and fawns. they were very cute.

we also saw very big tigers. tigers were very clever in jumping and climbing trees.

then, we went to crazy rides in the park.

i was very scared to ride on a ride which was like a viking, but we were not on a boat. we were exposed to the air. (this one in the picture→)

i thought that i would fall down and i was very scared. but i had fun on that one.

the next one, i felt sick...i knew that i felt sick on rides that turns around but i thought i could try that one. that was a big mistake. i really felt bad after getting on that ride and couldn't even go to the one i was looking forward to.

we also went to the splash mountain but we didn't expect to get so wet. the splash mountain here is like a shower! so we got very wet. it was very funny coz many people went on the ride with their bikinis or swim pants.

after getting on the splash mountain, the weather became cold so our clothes wouldn't dry. we were lucky not getting cold.

in spite of feeling sick, i had so much fun that day.

before we went to the backpackers that we were going to stay that night, we decided to buy something to takuji. he is studying in south africa now.

we bought 4 bands and kept one each and sent one to south africa.

the money that we bought the bands will go to a charity to save tigers.

i hope he liked it.

when we arrived at the accomodation, since it was easter, the girl of the front was wearing a bunny ear and a bunny tail. so we decided to call her bunny in japanese.

we called her bunny till we left the backpacker and we even will call her bunny when we talk about her later. actually she's from canada and her name is Veronica.

i also wanna go to dream world! it sounds very good. koala looks cute and you look happy with holding a koala. and i wanna be exposed to the air. i really like that kind of rides, but i am afraid of becoming sick like you. anyway, thank you for buying me such a lovely wristband! i was so happy when i found it in the envelope. i am always wearing it even in taking a shower. this means i have never taken it off. in the uneversity, i told everybody my great friends in australia had sent me proudly. thank you!

It sounds like you are having such a great time in Australia . . . and you even met a Canadian that looks like a bunny. How cool is that?
